How it all began.

Rudnick Jewelers has a long history in the diamond and precious gems industry. Our family-owned business has generations of knowledge. Below is a brief history of our journey.

It all started with Barnett Rudnick who studied watchmaking and jewelry in Vilnius, Lithuania. When he came to America, he was an apprentice in Rochester, NY, Barnett after a few years he decided it was time to open his shop. He opened his first jewelry store in Sheboygan, WI on Michigan Avenue in the year, 1911. In 1913, he moved to our current location at 919 N. 8th St., in the heart of downtown Sheboygan.

Barnett's son, Charles would join the business in 1935 as an optometrist. The original optometry office is still located in our store. Milton Rudnick, Barnett's other son, would join the business shortly after the end of WWII as a watchmaker and jeweler.

The brothers would go on to work together for many years after the Passing of Barnett into the early fifties. Milton's son, Alan, joined the team in 1978 and worked alongside his Uncle and Father until they retired, Charles in 1986 and Milton in 1993. Alan also helped start a Business Improvement District in downtown Sheboygan which helped improve marketing locally owned businesses and beautification projects. He served as the board president for many years.

In 2009, Alan's son Paul came aboard after studying design and photography at the University of Arizona. Paul has now taken over the helm from his father and maintains the high-quality business that demonstrates an equally high code of ethics.
